Genting has over 40 venues across UK, Casinos in Edgbaston, Star City and Coventry, and they also sponsor Aston Villa Football Team. The company has venues in New York, Singapore and Manila, and this will be the first one for them in Europe.

The license for the casino was awarded by Solihull Council in 2011 and the planning permission in 2012. The construction is already commenced by “Galliford Try” the company appointed as building contractors and it will be the first super casino in Birmingham worth £150 million.

The Casino will be covering the 11% percent of the whole site. The overall operation will help the economy with £58 million while being under construction by creating 1750 jobs and nearly £32m a year once it’s open by creating 1100 hospitality and leisure jobs.

The leisure complex will have a four star hotel with 170 bedrooms, nearly 45 designer shops, a banqueting hall, many bars and restaurants.

The minister of the state trade and investment said that “Britain is open for business and decision by Genting to invest £150 million is a major Signal of that. It is very crucial to attract foreign investment to safeguard and create 100,000 jobs a year.”

This casino is one of the eight super casino approved by advisory panel.
